The Great Southern Star Eisteddfod is a small regional dance eisteddfod showcasing the talents of local children, providing wonderful entertainment for all ages in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere. The Eisteddfod is in its 3rd year and is being held at Mesley Hall, Leongatha over three consecutive days commencing on Friday 3rd August 2012. 

The competition consists of all facets of theatrical dance including classical, character, national, tap, modern/jazz, neo-classical, song and dance. Championship sections include classical, jazz and tap.
